TERRE HAUTE —
Daniel Lee Pearson, 65, of Terre Haute, and formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away at 8:31 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born May 27, 1947, in Terre Haute, to James D. Pearson and Katherine Miller Pearson.
Survivors include his former wife, Carmen J. Thome-Pearson; a son, James D. Pearson; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. A member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6574. He had played softball for many years and was well known for his pitching and for been the pitcher when his team won the state tournament. He also enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and singing karaoke.
A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Dennis Leek officiating. Visitation will be 5 p.m. until service time Tuesday.
