TERRE HAUTE —
Carl Elton Hill, 68, of Terre Haute, went to his final resting place Nov. 25, 2012, in Wishard Memorial Hospital. Carl was born Jan. 22, 1944, in Gun Town, Miss., to Richard Hill and Mazzie Bell Hill. He was a retiree of the Laborers Local 204, and was an avid gardener.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, John Melvin Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn S. Hill; three sons, Richard Eugene Hill, Carl Anthony Hill, and Darrell Alan Hill and his wife Shauni, all of Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Richard Hill II, Christopher Alan Hill, Kimberlee Lynn Hill, and Robin Nicole Hill; one great-granddaughter, Mya Kearschner; mother-in-law, Deloris Meneely; two sisters, Pelbia Jean Pickle of Becker, Miss., and Helen Pontiff of Abbeville, La.; one half brother, Jason Hill of Wisconsin; and several nieces, nephews, and friends and family. He will be deeply missed by his best pals, Toby and Dolly, his pug dogs that he loved so much.
Visitation for Carl will be Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with service to follow at 6 p.m. The Rev. Melvin Wilkinson will be officiating. Online condolences may be made at:
