ROBINSON, ILL. —
Joseph Cameron Titsworth, 72, of rural Robinson, died at his home at 5:46 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. He was born April 4, 1940, in Robinson, the son of Walter Valentine Titsworth and Mabel Elsie Poorman Titsworth. Joe was a lifelong farmer and a member and deacon of Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Robinson.
He married Judy Starkweather on June 19, 1960, and she survives. He also is survived by his two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Edwin and Jerri Titsworth of Robinson and Paul Cameron and Sheila Titsworth of Newton; his daughter, Terri Jo Mendenhall of Oblong and her fiance Ronnie Tarr; five grandchildren, Kenzie Mendenhall of Oblong, Sierra Smith and Kelsea Smith, both of Newton, and Jonathan Titsworth and Shelby Titsworth, both of Robinson; his two brothers, John Valentine Titsworth of Minneapolis and Thomas Joshua Titsworth of Terre Haute, Ind.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. CST Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 at Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Robinson. The Revs. Jerry McDaniel and Dwight McDaniel are in charge of services. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, rural Palestine. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Highland Avenue Baptist Church and from 9 a.m. Saturday until service time at 10 a.m.
