Rusty Shane Bogue


PARIS, IL — Rusty Shane Bogue, age 33, of Paris, passed away at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2013. He was a self-employed aviator. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Aviation from Indiana State University. Mr. Bogue was a pilot, flight instructor and, with his wife Ann, owned RSB Aviation. He maintained a charter pilot service, a crop dusting service, and was involved in aircraft repair and aerial photography. He belonged to Aircraft Owner and Pilots Association (AOPA), Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and Professional Aviation Fraternity Alpha Eta Rho.

Born Nov. 13, 1979, in Danville, Ill., he was the son of Robert and Laura (Ketchem) Bogue. He married Ann (Black) Bogue Sept. 20, 2008, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Paris.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Bogue of Paris; his parents, Robert and Laura Bogue of Paris; children, Mary Josephine Bogue at home, and his unborn child; brothers, Bradley Wayne Bogue and his wife Danielle of Collinsville, Ill., Riley Gene Bogue and his fiancé  Justine Pittenger of Paris, and Casey Allen Bogue and his fiancé Karen Ann Kelley of Paris; a half brother, Robert Leon Bogue of Carmel, Ind.; a half sister, Christina Kincaid of Daytona Beach, Fla.; several aunts and uncles, including Jayne Brown and her husband Tim of Paris, and Shirley Haddix, her late husband Bud, of Chrisman, Ill.; cousins, Travis Brown and his wife Shanda of Nabb, Ind., and Lyndsey Norman and her husband Derek of Trenton, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews; and his sisters-in-law, Cindy Spencer and her husband Rich, Sande Sherer and her husband Bart, and Mandy Martin and her husband Thad, all of Paris.

Visitation for Rusty will be from 4 to 8 p.m. CDT Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, in Lake Ridge Christian Church Family Life Center, 122 East Steidl Road, in Paris. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, in Lake Ridge Christian Church Family Life Center. Burial will follow in Edgar Cemetery.
