Anna Mae ‘Tweedy’ Brock


TERRE HAUTE — Anna Mae “Tweedy” Brock, 85, of Terre Haute, passed away at 12:21 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, in Southwood Health and Rehabilitation. Anna worked as a cook for Catholic Charities, Ambrosini’s Restaurant and also had worked at Columbia Records. She was born March 31, 1928 in Paris, Ill., to Lawrence Tweedy and Nellie (Wilson) Tweedy. She was a member of Blackhawk Community Church.

Survivors include a son, Scott Brock and his wife Susan of Riley; a stepson, Glenn Brock Jr. and wife Shirley; grandchildren, Glenn Brock III, Christopher Brock and wife Meghan, Brandon Brock, Cody Brock, Paul Williams and wife Angie, and Tabitha Williams; great-grandchildren, Trinity, Brittany and Emily Williams; three sisters, Lola Joiner of Florida, Marion Walker of Paris and Jane Rhodes of Paris; and a son-in-law, Jim Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn Brock, who died in 2000; and a daughter, Rebecca Williams, who died in 2012.

Visitation will be Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, from 4 until 8 p.m. in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with funeral services on Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Lee officiating. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
