TERRE HAUTE —
Eula Luvetta Williams, at 86 years old, departed this life at 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 1, 2013, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She will leave a great legacy. She will always be cherished by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Eula, or “Betty,” as she was affectionately known, was born on April 23, 1927, to the proud parents Bertie C. and Bertha Mae Norton-Allen in Burnett, Ind. She was educated in the Vigo County School System, attending School #8 and Otter Creek.
Eula met and married the love of her life, Frank Williams. They were united in marriage in 1958, and in this union two families merged and became one, and she became a mother to all the children. She loved her husband and children immensely.
Eula accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of the Laodicean Seventh-day Adventist Church and Mount of Olives Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving as Deaconess and former member of the Dorcas Society.
Eula enjoyed fishing, working puzzles and crafts.
Eula leaves to cherish fond memories: her lovely children, four sons, Thomas Allen (Carolyn) of Terre Haute, Ind.; Bishop Warren Williams (Joyce) of Anderson, Ind.; and Minister Frank Williams (Linda) and Micheal Williams (Pam), all of Peoria, Ill.; three daughters, Dr. Camilla Underwood of Terre Haute, Ind.; Venite Dye (Bishop O’Dell) of Peoria, Ill.; and Betty Haskins (Alan) of Danville, Ill.; fifty-one grandchildren; ninety-five great-grandchildren; thirty-eight great-great-grandchildren; one special niece, Delores Simpson; one special grandson, Andre Allen; two special nephews, Timarion Bailey and James Simpson; and several special, special friends; a host of neices, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons; two brothers, Chester N. Allen and Bertie C. Allen; eight sisters, Chlora Chandler, Rachel Tyler, Sadie Underwood, Bertha Phillips, Esther Flowers, Lena Mae Carson, Reva West and Cozetta Allen; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be from 3 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 7, at Mount of Olives Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1322 S. 13th St. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Pastor Joel Bohannon Jr. will be officiating. Arrangements were made by Russell Funeral Home.
