DANVILLE, Ill. —
DANVILLE, Ill. — Katherine Marie Campbell Trueblood, 90, of Danville, and formerly of Terre Haute, passed away at 9:25 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, in Colonial Manor in Danville. She was born in Edgar County, Ill., on June 2, 1923, to James Campbell and Nellie Hickman Campbell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver F. Trueblood, whom she married Oct. 14, 1944.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Hogg of Danville; and by two sons, David (Nancy) Trueblood of Columbus, Ind.; and Jim (Carolyn) Trueblood of Columbus, Ind. Also surviving is one sister, Delores (Rocky) Nelson of Terre Haute. Katherine is also survived by six grandchildren, Brian (Tricia) Hogg, Doug (Jessica) Trueblood, Michelle White, Lori (Chad) Shaffer, Anne (Corey) Trobuagh and Mike (Ali) Trueblood. In addition, she is survived by 12 great-grandchildren, Ashley Shields, Kailey White, Ariana Wyatt, Madeline Hogg, Abby Hogg, Cameron Trueblood, Ali Trueblood, Owen Shaffer, Ava Shaffer, Ethan Trobaugh, Morgan Trobaugh and Bennett Trueblood; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, John Hogg; and two brothers, Robert Campbell and Roy Campbell.
She was a self-employed hairdresser, having had her own shop for several years. Katherine was a member of Oregon Baptist Church for over 50 years, the Order of Eastern Star (Twelve Points Chapter), the National Hairdressers Association and the Red Hatters, and loved to travel.
Funeral services will take place in DeBaun Springhill Chapel on Monday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m. (EST), with the Rev. David Garver officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is scheduled for 3 to 7 p.m. (EST) on Sunday, Oct. 27, in the funeral home.
