Carl C. Horsley Jr., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born July 25, 1935, in Terre Haute, to Carl C. Horsley Sr. and Virginia Boyd-Horsley. He was a graduate of Gerstmeyer High School and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed by Wright’s Dental Lab, John’s Dental Lab, and then opened his own lab, C&R Dental Lab, in 1982, from which he retired from in 2002.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marilyn Reedy and Sue Bowman; his granddaughter, Reagan Alverson; and daughter-in-law, Penny Horsley.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Rose McMillin-Horsley; son, Robert Horsley of Brown County; daughter, Christina Alverson and husband Mike of Indianapolis; and granddaughters, Jacqueline Horsley and Shaina Alverson, both of Indianapolis.
Funeral services for Carl will be 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., with Pastor Larry McAdams officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013. Online condolences may be made at:
