CLINTON — Doyle Scott, 65, of Clinton, died at 5:25 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at I. U. Hospital, in Indianapolis. He was born Nov. 28, 1947, in Clinton. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
He was retired from Cargill, in Paris, Ill., and was a graduate of West Vigo High School class of 1965. He was a member of United Mine Workers and United Federation of Grain Millers. He married Judy Huxford on June 26, 1971, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dusty Scott (Aug. 16, 1993); his parents; and brother, Doug Scott in 1992. His survivors include his wife, Judy of Clinton; two sons, Ben and his wife Mandi and Chris Scott and his wife Arin, all of Clinton; one daughter, Jodie Carrera and her husband Chris of Clinton; five grandchildren, Jalie Scott-Freitag, Bryson Scott, Bailey Scott, Jacob Carrera, and Jocelyn Carrera; brother, Mike Scott and his wife Frankie of New Goshen; three sisters, Vickie Thompson and her husband Donald of Shepardsville, Marie Vicars and her husband Joe of Clinton, and Sue McCallister and her husband John of Rosedale; and several nieces, nephews, and loving family
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Giovanini Funeral Home, in Clinton, with Pastor Susan Martin officiating. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Simon Cancer Center at I. U. Hospital, or charity of choice.
