Phyllis J. Miller, 80, formerly of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013, at Harrison Terrace Nursing Home, in Indianapolis. She was born on Jan. 9, 1933, in Clay City, to Arthur and Floy Featherston.
Phyllis retired as a bank teller from Terre Haute First National Bank. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church and helped with its library. Phyllis loved to read.
She is survived by five daughters, Barbara Sutherlin, Denise Games and husband Ben, Brenda Comstock and husband Doug, Sheri Stull and husband Kevin, and Pamela Hamilton and husband Dave; one son, Chuck Sutherlin; a sister, Mable Kalber; a brother, Don Featherston; and 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Floy Featherston, husband, Jack Miller; and sisters, Nora Sullivan, Lillian Miller, and Goldie Robinson.
Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at 1 p.m. with visitation Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., in Terre Haute. Officiating will be the Rev. Ron Hatley. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. A special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and her nursing home caregivers.
