JASONVILLE — Rosemary B. (Sprague) Miller, 86, of Jasonville, passed away at 9:58 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute. She was born March 28, 1927, in Terre Haute, to Archie B. Sprague and Opal Louise (Lowe) Sprague Snow. Rosemary married Bob A. Miller on Aug. 21, 1945, he passed away Jan. 25, 1996.
Survivors include daughter, Melinda Hart of Jasonville; son, Tom S. Miller of Fishers; grandson, Brad Farmer; great-granddaughter, Madisyn Farmer; nieces, Suzette Ridinger, Cindy Andrews, Cindy Miller, Joyce Senzig and Jennifer Doyle; nephew, Kenneth Sprague Jr.; stepgrandchildren, Odi Hart and Yena Sanchez; stepgreat-grandchildren, Savannah Simmons, Samuel Sanchez and Solomon Sanchez.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Kenneth Sprague Sr.
Rosemary retired after working 20 years as a registered nurse in hospitals. She graduated from Indiana State University with a bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in December of 1976. Rosemary was a charter member of Shakamak Community Church, was a member of Jasonville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6225 Women’s Auxiliary and TriKappa Delta Xi Chapter.
Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and 9 a.m. until services Wednesday, both in the funeral home. Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Howesville, at a later date, following cremation as Rosemary requested.
