BRAZIL — Jacob "Jack" Bonomo, 87, of Brazil, passed away peacefully in his sleep at Cloverleaf Health Center, on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 4:22 a.m. Born in Camden, N.J., to Donato and Anna (D’Araio) Bonomo. Jack married Elena DeMarino on March 7, 1948, in Trieste, Italy, where he was stationed with the U.S. Army during World War II.
Jack was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1127, and Knights of Columbus. He was a former employee of Arketex Clay Factory and Liquid Carbonic.
Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Elena Bonomo; parents: several brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his son, Daniel "Dan" Bonomo and wife Jeri; grandchildren, Nick Bonomo and wife Mica, April Bonomo; great-grandson, Vincent Bonomo; as well as extended family and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, with Father John Hallowell officiating. Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery, in Brazil.
