Lorraine Marie Weaver (Wake)

CLINTON — April 3, 1923 - May 6, 2013

CLINTON — Marsha, Diane and David would like to announce the passing of their Mother, Lorraine M. (Wake) Wea-ver, 90, of Sparks, Nev., and formerly of Clinton, on May 6, 2013. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Herman E. Weaver.

Surviving Lorraine is her sister, Bertha Lorentz, and Lorraine’s children, Marsha (Robert) Nickerson, Diane (Michael) Gilmore and David (Debbie) Weaver. She also has six wonderful grandchildren; Robert (Laura) Muckey Jr., Krista (Bennie) Lee, Bryan (Tiffani) Nickerson, Matthew (Katie) Weaver, Jason Bennett and Courtney (John) Moreira and eight fantastic great-grandchildren; Tanner Muckey, Jake Muckey, Bryanna Nickerson, Kelissa Lee, Olivia Nickerson, Becca Lee, Marcelino Moreira and Adeline Moreira.

Lorraine led a full life and particularly enjoyed the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a confidant to her sister, Bertha, who she talked to multiple times a day. Along with her husband, Herman, they enjoyed traveling to Hawaii, Florida, and those Labor Day visits to Clinton for reunions. Her passion and desire to always beat those one armed bandits at casinos in Reno, Las Vegas and Laughlin! Often, she succeeded!

Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute. We will all miss her. Rest in peace and we love you Mom!

In lieu of flowers, our family suggests a donation to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada to honor our Mother, to help seniors who may be experiencing hunger. Donations can be sent to the Food Bank at 550 Italy Way, McCarran, NV 89434.
