TERRE HAUTE —
Leonard S. Eubank, while peacefully sleeping, moved to his new heavenly home on Saturday, April 27, 2013. He was born June 8, 1922, to Roy and Amy (Wiley) Eubank, in Huntington County. He went on to graduate from Warren High School, in Warren. He served in the U.S. Army as a staff sergeant during World War II and was honorably discharged in 1946 after serving six years. He then attended Chicago Technical College. He worked as a field service engineer for Hussman, Corp., in St. Louis.
After retirement he enjoyed fishing, baking, working on computers, and time with family. Leonard was a strong, devoted family man who loved to travel and share stories. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all he would meet.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Louise (Medlin); daughters, Linda (Bob) Cain, Kathryn (Steve) Darbin, Karen (Jim) Ward, and Vicki Layton; three sisters, Mary Jean Lapentina, Mildred Noonan, and Helen Eubank; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Glen Eubank. His laughter, smile, and the twinkle in his baby blue eyes will be greatly missed.
Private services will be held for the family. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to the charity of your choice. DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, has been entrusted with making arrangements. Online condolences can be made at:
