Shirley M. Moyer, 65, of Terre Haute, passed away Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in her home.
She was born Dec. 13, 1947, in Detroit, Mich., to Robert Dube and Norma Czajikowski.
Shirley was the former executive director for the American Cancer Society of the Wabash Valley and had formerly worked for CODA. She was a longtime volunteer with the Community Theatre of Terre Haute, participating in many productions in front of and behind the scenes. She also volunteered with CODA and was known for her generosity, always making time to help her family, friends and anyone in need. Shirley was a graduate of the Lidecker Institute and attended Indiana University.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bob Dube. She is survived by her son, Thom Moyer and his wife Nicole of Seelyville; and her daughters, Debbie Moyer Virostko and her husband Steve of Rosedale; Wendy Napier of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Denise Moyer Stone and her husband Bob of Terre Haute; Dawnn Askren and her husband Larry of Bloomington; and Darcey Perin of Bloomington. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ellen Dube of Terre Haute; 11 grandchildren, Robby, Nicole, Bobby, Ali, Misty, Stormi, Keagan, Kelsey, Sam, Matthew and Natalie; and six great-grandchildren, Peyton, Landon, Aubra, Annabelle, Owen, Lorelai and Zoey.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5, at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home. The Rev. Earl McClelland will be officiating. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at:
