Angeline “Buddy” Skorich, 90, of Terre Haute and formerly of Blanford, died at 10:20 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Terre Haute. She was born on July 26, 1923, in Clinton, to James Perona and Josephine Bonacorsi Perona.
She was retired from Vermillion County Treasurers Office, and postmaster at Blanford, Indiana Post Office. She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, and Sacred Heart Church in Clinton. She married Eli Skorich on Jan. 1, 1950 and he survives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Delena Gambaiani, May 23, 2011. Survivors include her husband, Eli Skorich of Terre Haute; two daughters, Elaine Somerville and her husband William of Hillsdale and Mary Helen Weisheit and her husband Doug of Rockville; one son, Paul Skorich and his wife Laura of Acton, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Brian (Molly) Somerville, Jennifer (Sean) Bergstrom, Anna Marie Weisheit, Andrew Weisheit, Jessica (Justin) Hillemann, Jacqueline Skorich, and Eli James Skorich; four great-grandchildren, Will and Miles Somerville, and Rylee and Skyler Hillemann; sister, Dolores (Joe) Spitz of Appleton, Wis.; sister-in-law, Mildred Allen of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at Sacred Heart Church, in Clinton, with the Rev. Fr. Michael Fritsch officiating. Burial is at Roselawn Memorial Park, in Terre Haute.
