SHELBURN — Charles E. Kimberling, of Shelburn, went home to be with the Lord at 1:15 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home. He was born March 8, 1930, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Walter and Eva Deweese Kimberling.
Survivors include his wife, Lois Nash Kimberling; daughters Kathryn Shannon (Pryde) and Joyce LaFollette; sons Michael A. Kimberling (Carla), James E. Kimberling (Cindy), Ronald E. Kimberling (Renee) and Charles L. Kimberling (Robin); sister Connie Boyd; brothers James K. and Walter K. Kimberling; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Elva Deweese Adams, Ema Boswell, Edith Dambach and Frances Roop; and a brother, Robert C. Kimberling.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, in the Missionary Baptist Church in Fairbanks, with the Rev. Larry Gillespie officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Wilfred, Ind. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Missionary Baptist Church building fund.
