Virginia Gladys Cotton, 91, of Terre Haute, died at 9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on “the third day of the third month in 1922,” in her home in Shelburn, to William Reginald and Mary Elizabeth Nugent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 60 years, James Cotton; and great-granddaughter, Amanda Arnold. Survivors include her sons, James William and wife Patti, and Michael John and friend Cindy Arnett; as well as daughter, Sherry Lynn Rosselli; 10 grandchildren, Lori Clyne and husband Steve, Jennifer Arnold and husband Bob, Brad Cotton and Stephanie Horsley, Matthew Cotton and wife Rebecca, Shaun Rosselli and wife Megan, Kristin Baker, Joe Baker and wife Tiffany, Shannon Gladden and husband Chris, Darrien Hines, and Sela Hines; 19 great-grandchildren, Camie Steiner and Patrick, Jason Arnold, Christopher Mitchell, Blake Clyne and fiancée Shay Reinle, Dustin Mitchell and fiancée Emilyanne Kellar, James Cotton, Grant Clyne, Jessi Cotton, Jena Cotton, Grayson Roselli, Madison Cotton, Nina Cressey, Savannah Baker, Christian Gladden, Payton Baker, Baleigh Cotton, Alexis Cotton, and Gabe Cotton; five great-great-grandchildren, Tori Arnold, Austin Mitchell, Kristina Elisea, Jacob Arnold; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a long time member of Greenwood Baptist Church. She was employed by Columbia Records, Sony and J.I. Case.
Services are Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at 11 a.m. at DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E Springhill Drive, with Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation is at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013. Online condolences can be made at:
