Mary E. Whitesides Lee, 63, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at I.U. Health Hospital in Lafayette. She was born Oct. 27, 1949, in Terre Haute, the daughter of Booker T. and Letha H. Franks Whitesides. She was a homemaker and member of Lost Creek Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by both parents; and one brother, Gilbert R. Whitesides.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Whitesides (Terrie), Donald Lee, and Douglas Lee, all of Terre Haute; daughters, Renee’ Whitesides of Lafayette, Renita Lee of Terre Haute, and Tina Lee of Indianapolis; brothers, Charles Whitesides (Carrie) of Terre Haute, and Earl T. Whitesides of Indianapolis; sisters, Dallie Smith of St. Louis, Frances Morgan of Indianapolis, Helen Lee and Kathy Garrett, both of Lafayette; sister-in-law, Eunice Lee of Terre Haute; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Services will be Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at 12 noon, at Lost Creek Baptist Church, 4440 N. Creal Road. Elder Clarence Lee will be the Eulogist. Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 2401 7th Ave. Burial will be in Stewart Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Bluitt & Son Funeral Home.
