Virginia Rose Detrick, 91, of Terre Haute, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at 1:18 p.m. in Davis Gardens Health Center. She was born March 4, 1921, in Terre Haute, to Joseph Roy Feuquay and Grace Driscoll Feuquay.
She was a member of Barbour Avenue UBE, The Order of the Eastern Star serving as Worthy Matron and Order of the Amaranth. She enjoyed square dancing and was a member of Swingmaster Square Dancing Club. She worked at Packard Shirt for 15 years, she was also a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, who passed away in 1980; son, David Detrick; daughter-in-law, Theresa Monroney Detrick; and sisters, Doris Ditzenberger, Mary Wheeler and Beverly McGurik.
She is survived by son, Robert Detrick and his wife Jaima of Johnson City, Tenn. and daughter Teresa Detrick of La Porte, Ind. She also is survived by grandchildren, Robert J. Detrick, Robin L. Yorg, and Brooke M. Louche; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn chapel of Memories, the Rev. Larry Spear will be officiating. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N 13th St. was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be made at: www.greinerfuneralhome.com
