TERRE HAUTE —
David L. Walters, 78, of Terre Haute, passed away at 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a self-employed heating and air conditioning contractor. He was born Oct. 24, 1934, in Indianapolis, to Kenneth Clarence Walters and Marie Jane (Thompson) Walters.
Dave is survived by daughters, Becky Byrd and her husband Jon of West Hills, Calif., Debbie Dinkins of Lancaster, Calif., and Judy Bechill and her husband Bob of Walbridge, Ohio; sons, Dan Walters and his wife Cynthia of Terre Haute and Mike Walters of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Kenneth Walters.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard and also a member of the Eagles. Dave was an amazing, caring, smart, hysterical man, who best of all loved his family with all of his heart. He is going to be sadly missed by all of them.
