Charles K. Stewart (Chuck), 46, of Charleston, W. Va., and formerly of Terre Haute, died at 9:50 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. He was born on Jan. 20, 1967, to Dale K. Stewart Sr. and Nancy Kay Notter Stewart, in Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Charles graduated from Terre Haute North High School and attended Indiana State University and Indiana University. He also served his country in the U.S. Marines and U.S. Army.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Kay Notter; sisters, Mandi Stewart Sanders (Jim), and Tami Roberts Alcorn; brothers, Dale K. Stewart Jr. and Eric Stewart (Dorothy); niece, Laine Hall; nephews, Andrew Brown Nick, Zack, and Anthony Stewart, Shane (Britney) and Cameron Goedeck and Matt Stewart; great-niece, Brook Miller; great-nephew, Kristopher Miller; grandmother, Lois Notter; aunts, Peggy White, Dana Ward Lewis (Chester), and Jane Miller; uncles, Larry Notter (Rona), Bob Notter, Tommie Notter Sr., and Don (Vandetta) Stewart; and many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dale K. Stewart Sr.; grandparents, Harley and Edith Stewart and Hubert Notter; and niece, Samantha Hall Miller.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Eagles Lodge, 823 Poplar St., in Terre Haute. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to his mother to help with expenses. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio, was in charge of cremation.
