CLINTON — Imogene M. Phillips, 81, of Clinton, passed away on April 28, 2013, at 11:07 p.m. in her residence. She was born July 27, 1931, in Clinton, to William Brock and Lola Shannon Brock. She had been a press operator at CBS, then went to college and graduated in 1981 from Indiana State University, and became a lab technician at Paris Community Hospital, from which she retired. After retirement, she worked at Macy's in the ladies apparel. She also was a member of The Family Worship Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James H. “Dugan” Phillips, who recently passed away on April 20, 2013; a brother, Edward Brock; and a sister Della Brock Alexander.
She is survived by a son, Ron and Lisa Phillips of Clinton; a daughter, Fonda Sue and Tony Engle of Frederick, Md.; one brother, John Brock of Clinton; grandchildren, Andrew and Morgan Engle, Erica and Kevin Engle Kelley, Nicole and Ray Phillips Griffin, Ashley Phillips Mathis and Jacob Levi Phillips; great-grandchildren, Aiden Mathis, Samuel Kelley, Jillian Kelley, William James Engle and Ava Grace Engle; a devoted nephew, David Hayes; and a friend and caretaker, Tena Drake.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Frist Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Simeon Young officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.
