Imogene M. Phillips

CLINTON — CLINTON — Imogene M. Phillips, 81, of Clinton, passed away on April 28, 2013, at 11:07 p.m. in her residence. She was born July 27, 1931, in Clinton, to William Brock and Lola Shannon Brock. She had been a press operator at CBS, then went to college and graduated in 1981 from Indiana State University, and became a lab technician at Paris Community Hospital, from which she retired. After retirement, she worked at Macy's in the ladies apparel. She also was a member of The Family Worship Center.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James H. “Dugan” Phillips, who recently passed away on April 20, 2013; a brother, Edward Brock; and a sister Della Brock Alexander.

She is survived by a son, Ron and Lisa Phillips of Clinton; a daughter, Fonda Sue and Tony Engle of Frederick, Md.; one brother, John Brock of Clinton; grandchildren, Andrew and Morgan Engle, Erica and Kevin Engle Kelley, Nicole and Ray Phillips Griffin, Ashley Phillips Mathis and Jacob Levi Phillips; great-grandchildren, Aiden Mathis, Samuel Kelley, Jillian Kelley, William James Engle and Ava Grace Engle; a devoted nephew, David Hayes; and a friend and caretaker, Tena Drake.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at Frist Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Simeon Young officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Online condolences may be made at:
