TERRE HAUTE —
Anna P. Holmes, 84, lifelong Terre Haute resident, was called home to be with her heavenly Father on March 24, 2013. She was born on June 25, 1928, to Michael and Mary Agnes (Crowley) Dragon. She lived her life dedicated to her children and grandchildren. She led by example by showing strength, determination, unconditional love for her family, and her love for the Lord.
She was a member of The Well Worship Center and a longtime member of the Kerman Caldron 19, where she was past Mighty Chosen One. Her husband, John V. Holmes, preceded her in death in 2002.
She is survived by one son, John V. Holmes Jr. and wife Lisa; four daughters, Kathy Rickard (Darryl deceased), Debby Rogers (Robin deceased), Mary Hamilton (Mike deceased), and Peggy Grimes and her husband Rodney. She also is survived by brothers, Michael Dragon III and Patrick Dragon; and a sister, Mary Lynna Mann. There are 14 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, with Kerman Caldron memorial services at 7 p.m. Friday. Entombment will be in Roselawn Chapel of Memories. Calling will be today from 4 to 8 p.m. Online condolences may be offered at:
