MARSHALL, Ill. —
Jean Davidson, 90, of Marshall, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Union Hospital, in Terre Haute, Ind. She was retired from the Marshall School District, where she served as secretary to the high school principal. She was born Aug. 25, 1922, in Rockville, Ind., the daughter of Frank and Louise Fryberger Hutson. She married Donald E. Davidson on Nov. 21, 1942, and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2002.
Surviving are two sons, Donald E. (Judy) Davidson Jr. of Columbus, Ga., and Jack (Lisa) Davidson of Marshall; grandchildren, Jennifer Jean Davidson, Gretchen May (Gregg) Roberts, Eric Allen Davidson, Kelly Anne (Bryan) Middleton, Lori Mannix, Cara Akin and Amy Chapman; and great-grandchildren, Evan Frazer, Megan Frazer, Molly Roberts, John Campbell Roberts, Jack Roberts, Charlie Roberts, Eric Davidson, Will Davidson, Thomas Davidson, Tyler Middleton, Chase Middleton, Carter Middleton, Blayne Hope, Tanner Hope, Kaden kin Landon Rust and Skylar Rust. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild, Chase Akin
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marshall. She was a member and past president and treasurer of the Burnsides Guild, and was a member of the award winning American Legion Auxiliary Choir .
Services in honor of her life will be 10 a.m. CDT Friday at Pearce Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial will be in Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Harlan Hall or to the Animal Rescue Fund.
