Harold D. Graves, 77, of Sullivan, passed away at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan. He was born in Sullivan County, Ind., April 5, 1935, the son of John Graves and Doris Keene Graves.
Harold was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sullivan, formerly worked at Roots in Sullivan, and Hulman and Company in Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a twin brother, Garold Graves; and four sisters, Barbara Stowers, Ruth Moore, Carolyn Hoke, and Marilyn Cooper.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Wilson Graves, whom he married on July 3, 1959; one son, Darrin Graves (Cara) of Sullivan; two daughters, Diane Graves of Topeka, Kan., and Denise Bement of Sullivan; two brothers, Terry Graves of Florida, and Bill Graves of Indiana; three grandchildren, Bryce Bement, Delaney Graves, and Drew Graves; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Banks and Brust Funeral Home, in Sullivan, with Pastor Dan Hopkins officiating. Interment will follow in Center Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Sunday.
