MARTINSVILLE, Ind. —
MARTINSVILLE, Ill. — Delbert E. Napier, 65, of Edgewood, Ill., formerly of Martinsville, passed away 6:30 a.m. at Casey Health Care Center, in Casey. He had formerly been a truck driver prior to his health conditions prohibiting him from being able to work. He was born June 27, 1947, at Martinsville, the son of Delbert L. “Jack” and Edith Shotts Napier.
Surviving are three daughters, Virginia (Jerry) Hammond of Casey, Linda Napier, and Brenda (companion Don Logan) Napier both of Edgewood; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant children.
He had formerly worked construction and was a member of Local 573, and had also worked on a river barge. He served this nation in the US Navy.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. CDT Sunday at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, rural Martinsville, with Brother Art Orndorff officiating. Military rites will be provided by the American Legion Post of Martinsville. Visitation will be 12 noon to 12:40 p.m., at Pearce Funeral Home, in Marshall.
