Matthew A. 'Matt' Anderson

TERRE HAUTE — Matthew “Matt” A. Anderson, 40, of Terre Haute, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013, in Hendricks County. Matt was born Feb. 11, 1973, in Terre Haute, to Brent A. Anderson and Judy Mars Anderson. He was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers Local 841, where he was a heavy equipment operator, a job he enjoyed and looked forward to going to.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Matt loved his wife, children and spending time with his family and friends. He loved to cook, play canasta, watch John Wayne movies and raise cows.

He was preceded in death by his father, Brent A. Anderson, who passed away March 3, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Michelle Hann Anderson; two sons, John Henry Anderson and Noah Rollins, both at home; his mother of Terre Haute; his twin brother, Luke Anderson and wife Brenda of Terre Haute; two sisters, Debbie Anderson Sullivan and husband Jay, and Jenny Anderson Bean and husband Brian, all of Noblesville; paternal grandmother-in-law, Nancy Hann of Terre Haute; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mass of Christian burial will be 12 noon Friday, July 19, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 113 S. Fifth St. Visitation will be at the church from 10 a.m. until service time Friday. Friar Mark Weaver will be officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., was entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to a trust fund for his children, John Henry Anderson and Noah Rollins, at First Financial Bank, envelopes will be available at the church.
