John William Shadow III

TERRE HAUTE — John William Shadow III, 41, of West Terre Haute, passed away unexpectedly Sunday evening, July 21, 2013. He was employed by Shadow Auction Barn in Terre Haute, where he had worked for more than 20 years. He was born Dec. 10, 1971, in Terre Haute, to John William Shadow Jr. and Joyce Ann Allen Shadow.

Survivors include his wife, Tina Shadow; his children, Zane Shadow, Justin Bryant, and Monica Bryant; his mother, Joyce Ann Allen Shadow of Terre Haute; his father and step-mother, John William Shadow Jr. and Brenda Shadow of West Terre Haute; a sister and brother-in-law, Kimberly Ann Howard and Matt Howard of Dewey, Ill.; his grandmothers, Elizabeth “Betty” Shadow of West Terre Haute, and Wilma Allen of Terre Haute; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Lee Shadow; and his grandfathers, John William Shadow Sr., and William Allen.

John was a graduate of West Vigo High School class of 1990. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and most of all the special time he spent with family.

Funeral services for John will be 6 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Earl McClelland officiating. Cremation has been scheduled after all services. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday. The family kindly suggests that in lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Zane Shadow trust fund at any First Financial Bank location or with envelopes available in the funeral home. There will be a meal and further celebration of John’s life, immediately following the services, at the Shadow Auction Barn, 1517 Maple Ave., Terre Haute, IN 47804. All friends and family are invited.
