Jack Warren Webb

Jack Warren Webb, of West Terre Haute, went home to his heavenly Father on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the age of 84. He retired from Chesty Foods as an excutor operator after many years of service. He was born Nov. 17, 1928, in Marshall, Ill., to Arless Webb and Ruth Marie Spiker Webb. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Waneta Webb.

He is survived by his four daughters, Helen Webb of Guam, Kay Graham and husband Bill, Jane Lingenfelser and husband Gary, and Jackie Decker and husband Mike, all of Terre Haute; 12 grandchildren, Brian Fields of Florida, Lennie Fields and wife Byeoni, Angie Dwyer “Pumpkin” and husband Andy, Tiffany Lingenfelser, Jennifer Evinger and husband Chris, Jessica Donna, Breanne Newton and husband Jan, and Caitlin Decker; 17 great-grandchildren, Devon Hanranhan, Austin Fields, Steven Dwyer, Logan Fields, Lacey Fields, Tameska Richards, Cheyann Hyde, Sarah Richards, Makayla Dwyer, Christina Richards, Jena Wellman, Timmy “Little Lee” Donna, Adilynn Newton, Tylen Donna, Kameron Fields, and Elias Evinger and one who is with him in heaven, Connor Michael Newton; also surviving is one brother, George Vandeventer and wife Gloria of Terre Haute; and a sister, Sue Canada and  husband Bob of West Terre Haute; and several nieces and nephews.

Jack also was preceded in death by his parents; five sisters, Maxine Eads, Rosie Rabadieu, Greta Isles, Lou Pea, and Elizabeth Hendrix; and two brothers, George Webb and Morton Webb.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 972, in Terre Haute, and the American Legion Post 0777 of Indianapolis.

Funeral services for Jack will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. 3rd St., West Terre Haute, with Pastor Brent Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, with military graveside rites by the V.F.W. Post 972 Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, and prior to services Tuesday. The family would like to give a special thank you from the bottom of the hearts to the nurses and staff of Cobblestone Crossing for how great you took care of our dad. Deming Park Family, we give a special thank you for going above and beyond your call of duty when it came to our dad. Love, Jane, Jackie, Kay, and Helen.
