Mina R. Martin, 83, of Terre Haute, and formerly of Rockville, died at 1:50 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, in Meadows Manor East at Terre Haute. She was a homemaker. She was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Parke County, Ind., to the late Paul Rusk and Effie Lee Hope Rusk. Her husband of 50 years, Richard W. Martin, whom she married July 3, 1958 died Dec. 15, 2008.
Survivors include two daughters, Kim Francis and her husband John Francis of Fairbanks, and Danielle Sparks and her husband Sergeant Major Thomas K. Sparks of Honolulu, Hawaii; one sister, Imogene Montgomery of Rockville; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and special friends, Debbie and Dave Griffith of Terre Haute. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Sharon Martin and Patty Martin; two brothers; and three sisters.
She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Taylor post 1752 Auxiliary in Rockville. She loved to play bingo and cards.
Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, in Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W.
