Judith L. Williams, 68, of Mecca, died at 3:41 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, in her residence. She retired from Scott Pet Products in Avon and Rockville. She was employed 10 years with A.F. Dormeyer Industries in Rockville, cleaned homes for the elderly and was a custodian for Parke County Courthouse. She was born May 15, 1944, in Clinton, to the late Orville Thomas and Margaret Miller Thomas. Her husband of 31 years, Richard Dale Williams, whom she married Dec. 26, 1981, in Rockville, died Dec. 29, 2012.
Survivors include two sons, Todd (Carmen) Branson of Bainbridge and Marco (Becky) Branson of Montezuma; three daughters, Rhonda Warren and Michelle (Gerry) Smith, all of Rockville, and Annie (Matt) Good of Terre Haute; two stepdaughters, Paula Tickle and Angela Creasey, both of Montezuma; four sisters, Sis Bostick of Farmersburg, Florence Smith of Bloomingdale, Jane Kent of Rockville, and Gail Lenover of Marshall, Ind.; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She also was preceded in death by two grandsons, Zackariah Tickle and Ray Creasey; and six brothers.
She attended Bellmore High School. She was a member of Montezuma Independent Baptist Church. She loved shopping, quilting, knitting, playing the piano, and tap dancing.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 3, 2013, at Gooch Funeral Home, 112 W. Howard St., in Rockville, with the Rev. Don Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Garden Cemetery, in Rockville. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
