Robert O. Pugh

MARSHALL, Ill. — — Robert O. Pugh, 51, of Marshall, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Terre Haute, Ind. He was born March 12, 1961, to Bobby Owen Pugh and Mabel Gunnoe Pugh.

 He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda JoAnn Pugh; his father, Bobby Owen Pugh; his brother, Ivan Dale Pugh; and his sister, Margaret Ann (Margo) Spears. He is survived by his mother, Mabel Pugh of Clinton; his son, Robert W. Pugh and his wife Gina of Marshall; his stepdaughter, Danielle Wolfe and her husband Bryant of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Garrett and Aubrey Pugh, and Cooper Wolfe. He also is survived by his sisters, Regina Hollars and her husband Chris of Glen Carbon, Ill., and Brenda Wilson and her husband Fred of Terre Haute; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Rob was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 725 and was employed by Sycamore Engineering at Union Hospital. Rob enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, family and friends, and cheering for the Indianapolis Colts.

Funeral services for Rob will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan, 5, 2013, in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 N. Third St., in West Terre Haute, with the Rev. Chris Wilbur officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday. Per Rob’s request, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Union Hospital Foundation-Amanda Pugh Memorial Scholarship. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Robert W. Welsh

MARSHALL, Ill. — Robert W. Welsh, age 83, of Albuquerque, N.M., and formerly of Marshall, passed away at 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, in VA Medical Center in Albuquerque. He was born on April 14, 1929, in Marshall, to Walter and Jessie (Dunlap) Welsh.

He was are retired laundromat owner, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea.

Mr. Welsh is survived by two sons, Phillip Welsh of Albuquerque, and Robin (Debbie) Welsh of Red Hook, N.Y.: six grandchildren; one sister, Helen Tingley of Marshall; and one brother, Ray (Beverly) Welsh of Marshall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol (Summerlot) Welsh; two brothers, Joe Welsh and Hubert Welsh; and one stepbrother Frances Milne.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon CST Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at:
