MARSHALL, Ill. —
Daisy A. Bracken, 78, of Marshall, and formerly of Vigo County, Ind., passed away 3:10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at her home. She was born in Vigo County, on Dec. 16, 1934, the daughter of Robert E. and Maude Price Couch.
Surviving are her children, Janet (Donnie) Criss of Terre Haute, Ind., Jenny (Robert) Cooper of Paris, Ill., Harry Bracken of Marshall, Darrell Bracken of Terre Haute, Norma (James) Elkins of Marshall, and Beverly (Gary) Pegg of Marshall; three sisters, Marie Buchanan, Artie Rogers, and Wanda Sons; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Emery Bracken; a long time companion, Richard Pegg; three brothers, Frank Couch, Don Couch and Clifford Couch; and three sisters, Beulah Alcar, Frances Bracken and Bonnie Miller.
Daisy loved to play bingo, also loved fishing, mushroom hunting, and was a true lover of Elvis.
Services in honor of her life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., in Marshall, with Kenny Alcar and Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in South Vigo “Black” Cemetery, rural Clark County, Ill. Visitation will be 12 noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
