TERRE HAUTE — Sister Luke Crawford, 88, died at 5:47 a.m. Friday, April 25, 2914, in Union Hospital. Ann attended St. Margaret Mary School and then Central Catholic High School, graduating in 1943. She then attended Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, graduating in 1947 with a degree in journalism.

Sister entered the Congregation of the Sisters of Providence on July 22, 1948, and professed final vows on Jan. 23, 1956. She earned a master’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. In 1977, she was elected to the leadership team for the Motherhouse Province, where she served for seven years. She then ministered several years in communications and public relations in Indiana and Florida and, in 1994, she began 14 years of service in a variety of ministries at St. Michael Archangel Parish in Sarasota Fla.
