Marzelle Naylor, 98, of Montezuma, died at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, in Union Hospital Terre Haute. She was born June 28, 1915, in Dana, to George Lewis and Anna Hipshire Lewis. She married Frederic Naylor on Nov. 26, 1938, in Indianapolis.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Montezuma Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained deacon and also the Montezuma Order of Eastern Star 537.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and son-in-law, Wayne Stanley. She is survived by three daughters, Ann Stanley of Montezuma, Kay Houze and her husband Paul of Montezuma, and Sara Scott and her husband John of Port Richey, Fla. She has one sister surviving, Maxine Hendrix of Dana; three grandchildren, Deanna and Matt Stroik of Zion, Ill., David and Tricia Stanley, Crawfordsville, and Andrew and Maggie Scott of Palm Harbor, Fla.; and six great-grandchildren, Clinton Baker, Allison Stroik, Ryan Stanley, Jordan Stanley, Natalie Scott, and Olivia Scott.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, at Montezuma Presbyterian Church. Services will begin at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mark and Wendy Olson officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Montezuma Presbyterian Church. Brown-Mack Funeral Home, Montezuma, assisted with the arrangements.
