Guy H. Boles

TERRE HAUTE — Guy H. Boles, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 22, 2013, whom he served most of his 92 years on earth. He is now walking on the streets of Heaven with his first wife, Lillian, and his daughter, Sharon Lynch, along with many family and friends who have gone before him. Guy was born March 2, 1921, in Sullivan to Charles Boles and Fern Call Boles.

Guy served in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in World War II. He retired from Lovelace Trucking, where he worked as traffic manager. Guy is a founder and a  lifetime member of Hulman Street Assembly of God Church and attended the Assembly of God Church of West Terre Haute, where he served as a board member and van driver for over 20 years. Guy was a self-taught carpenter and enjoyed working on televisions.

Guy was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and five sisters. He is survived by his wife, Geneva; his daughters, Twyla Nowling and Nila Truxal; his stepchildren, David Scank, Teresa Scank, and Steven Scank; his brother, Tom Boles; his grandchildren, Mark Lynch and his wife Allison, Jeff Niemeyer and his wife Amy, and Diana Nowling; stepgrandchildren, Carrissa Scank, Steven Scank, Jordan Scank, Justin Scank, Brycen Scank, and Skylee Scank; great-grandchildren, Abigail Lynch, Kevin Lynch, Carinne Niemeyer and Isaac Niemeyer; and stepgreat-granddaughter, Kambri Scank.

Services will be Friday, June 28, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, in Terre Haute, with visitation from 11 a.m. until service time. The Rev. John Smith and Pastor Randy Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park. If friends so desire, a memorial contribution may be made to a charity of your choice in lieu of flowers. Online condolences may be made at:
