On November 21, 1927, Hubert Fagg was born in Cherryville, Ind., to Herbert and Florence (Felling) Fagg. After a long battle with Parkinson's disease, he ended his earthly journey on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at the Cloverleaf Nursing Home in Knightsville.
On March 28, 1948, he married Barbara Louise Butt. They had a long, fruitful marriage that has been an inspiration to not only their family but others in the community as well. For many years, the couple worked side-by-side milking cows, farming, and growing a huge garden.
After much consideration, Hubert decided to become a teacher. Hubert touched the lives of many students in his 23 years of teaching and sponsoring students in student council and National Honor Society at Staunton and Northview High Schools. Hubert shared his love of God by giving lessons at Pleasant Grove Church of Christ.
Family came first in Hubert’s life, and his family will miss the twinkle in his eye, his avid devotion to the Cubs, and his sheepish grin.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his in-laws, Lloyd and Verna Butt; his brothers, Kenny (Nell), Gerald, and John; and brother-in-law, Oscar Brown.
Surviving are Hubert’s wife of 65 years, Louise; children, Byron (Ruth E.), Cathy (Gary) Rodgers, Joan (Jack) Mitchell, Amy (Kipp) Finchum, Jamie (Bob) Treash and David; grandchildren, Carole (Jason) Clodfelter, Laura (Jason) Temple, Brian Rodgers, Jeff (Nicki) Mitchell, Julie (Soup) Campbell, Jason Mitchell, Jenna (Darin) Moon, Jacob Finchum, Addyson Finchum, Zachery Treash, Victoria Treash, and Charlize Felling; great-grandchildren, Allison, Lauren, Kaden, Brody, Gabriel, Olivia, Eli, and Emery; sister, Dorothy Brown; brothers, Jim (Nancy) and Charlie (Ursula); brothers-in-law, Bill and Virgil (Mary Jo) Butts; sisters-in-law, Betty Fagg, Karen Fagg, and Mary (Steve) Youtz; as well as many nieces and nephews.

National Ave., in Brazil, Friday, June 28, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home, Saturday, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
