TERRE HAUTE —
Charlene S. Schlosser, 75, of Terre Haute, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at 4:25 a.m., in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was retired from AMAX Coal Company. Charlene was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Fairbanks, to Charles F. Pound and Joy Eilene (Thomson) Pound.
She is survived by three daughters, Deborah “Dee” Little and husband Ron, Michele Schlosser-Rukes, and Sue Cheesman and husband John, all of Terre Haute; a son, Michael Schlosser and wife Julie of Terre Haute; a sister, Judith Siner of Farmersburg; seven grandchildren, David Ewing and wife Dana, Joe Cheesman, Cody Cheesman, Mykka Rukes, Charlsie E. Rukes, Jacob Schlosser, and Alan Schlosser; and two great-grandchildren, Jozalynn Roberts and Lydia Cheesman. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother-in-law, Danny Siner.
Charlene was a St. Louis Cardinals, IU Basketball, and Indianapolis Colts fan.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m., in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, 85 E. Springhill Drive, with a Celebration of Life at 1 p.m., with Brad Siner leading the services. Private family burial will be at a later date in Pogue Cemetery. The family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
