James Ray Beadle, 86, of Orange Blossom Hills, Fla., and Elkhart, passed away June 19, 2013, at his home. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and served aboard the U.S.S. Skagit. After military service, he worked his entire career in the mobile home and RV industry.
He loved fishing, hunting, and mushroom hunting. He was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Hilda; sister, Audrey Lynch of Carmel; daughter, Judy Barnes of Terre Haute; and son, James Beadle II of Elkhart; stepdaughter, Michelle Fisher of Albuquerque, N.M.; stepson, Randy Fisher of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nephews, Terry Lynch of Carmel, and Tim Lynch of Leesburg; and many extended family members in Elkhart, and Greene, Sullivan, and Vigo counties, as well as central Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Horatio and Esther Beadle; a stepson, Danny Fisher; and two stepgrandsons, Sean and Cody.
Funeral arrangements are with All Faiths Cremation Society at the Villages, Fla. A memorial service will take place later in Elkhart for family members and friends.
