MOORESVILLE — John Edward Estes, 65, of Mooresville, died at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at St. Frances Hospital and Health Centers in Indianapolis. He was employed by Santi-Serve of Mooresville with 20 years of service. He was born November 30, 1947, in Bedford, to the late John Estes and Lula Hubble Estes.
Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Walker Estes, whom he married April 29, 2006, in Rosedale; also surviving, one daughter, Jacqueline (Marc) Estes Wertzberger of Franklin; one son, Edward Duane Estes; one brother, Ernie Estes of Norman; three sisters, Charlotte Howard of Norman, Chris Sheridan of Mooresville, and Thelma Stevens of Bloomington, Ind.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Butch Estes; and two sisters, Beverly Estes and Joyce Loughmiller.
He was a graduate of Clear Springs High School in Bedford. He attended the Rosedale United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion Mooresville post 103, Lt. Armies of Tennessee Freemans Battery, United States Field Artillery Association Loyal Artillery Chapter.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2013, at Cottrell-Gooch Funeral Home, 287 N. Main St., in Rosedale, with the Rev. Kim Kraemer officiating. Burial will follow in Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale. Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Friends may sign on online guest register at:
