Shirley Kay Petrowsky

TERRE HAUTE — Shirley Kay Petrowsky, 71, of Terre Haute, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in Union Hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1941, in Terre Haute, to John and Flossie Gardner.

Shirley was employed by the Vigo County School Corporation as a teacher’s aid. She was an outstanding cook, and loved to travel to Las Vegas and gamble with her sisters, but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter, Julie Bledsoe and her husband Jim of Terre Haute; one brother, Thomas Wayne Gardner of Springfield Ill.; two sisters, Phyllis McCarter and Janice Nicosin, both of Terre Haute; three grandchildren, Jimmy Bledsoe and his fiancé Kristie Fisher, Jenna Bledsoe, and Jodie Bledsoe, all of Terre Haute; two stepgrandchildren, Peter A. Petrowsky and Beth Bristol, both of Burley Idaho; and one great-grandchild, Carter Matthew Dooley of Terre Haute. She also is survived by many friends, family, and loved ones.  

As were Shirley’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. Greiner Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
