Mary Louise Morris

TERRE HAUTE — Mary Louise Morris, 85, of Prairieton, Ind., formerly of West Terre Haute, passed away at 8:38 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She had been employed with both the Union Laundry in Terre Haute and the Horse Shoe Club Restaurant in West Terre Haute. She was born on Nov. 10, 1928, in Praireton, Ind., to Jacob Walker and Maggie Shields Walker.

Survivors include her husband, Alfred Morris, whom she married on Jan. 9, 1945, in West Terre Haute; five children, Alfred Eugene Morris and his wife Freda of Terre Haute, and their children Rhonda and Shelby; Sara Ethel McGranahan and her husband Harry of Praireton, and their children Ralph and Regina; Jennie Lou Conley and her husband James of West Terre Haute, and their son James; Frank Morris and his wife Shiela of West Terre Haute, and their children Frankie, Alfie, Josh and Cheyenne; and Harrison Morris and his wife Tammy of Praireton, and their children Chris, Brad and Ally; twelve grandchildren, listed above with their parents; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters.

Mary was a member of Friends Church in Terre Haute. She enjoyed quilting, crotcheting, sewing, and making and tailoring clothes. Funeral services for Mary will be at 1 p.m. on Friday in Fitzpatrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Beasley officiating. Burial will be in Praireton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service time on Friday.
