JASONVILLE — Jack L. Borders, 77, of Jasonville, passed away at 4 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2013, in Greene County General Hospital, in Linton. He was born Nov. 30, 1935, in Jasonville, to Clarence Borders and Nellie Irene (Denny) Borders. .
Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Borders, whom he married in December 1970; daughter, Amy L. Collins of Jasonville; son, Todd L. Borders of Jasonville; sisters, Janice Hamilton and Karen Frayser, both of Jasonville; brother, Robert Borders of Jasonville; sisters-in-law, Tillie Powers of Lewis, and Judy Chamness of Terre Haute.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Billie Borders.
Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Jasonville American Legion Post 172. He worked for the Milwaukee, Soix and Canadian Pacific Railroads before his retirement.
There will be private family services. Interment will be at Friendly Grove Cemetery, near Lewis, with graveside military rites. Arrangements are entrusted to Cox Funeral Home, 218 S. Meridian St.
