MARSHALL, Ill. — Waneda Macke Finkbiner, 86, of Marshall, passed away at 11:34 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Burnsides Community Health Care Center, in Marshall. She was formerly employed by Formalite, and was retired from Coil Sales of Marshall. She was born June 25, 1926, in Wabash Township of Clark County, the daughter of Harry Macke and Nellie Baggs Macke. She married Fenton “Diz” Finkbiner on June 25, 1952.
Surviving are her husband Fenton; two brothers, Fenton Macke and Leon (Norma) Macke, both of Marshall; a sister, Wilma (John) Hoggatt of Marshall; three sisters-in-law, Eleanor Macke, Elizabeth Macke and Delores Macke, all of Marshall; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, Herbert Macke, Norman Macke, Glenn Macke, Herschel Macke, Wayne Macke and Virgil Macke; and three sisters, Mary Linton, Ruby Jane Macke and Dorothy Macke.
She was a member of the First Christian Church of Marshall. She and her husband loved to travel and she was a magnet and earring collector.
Services in honor of her life will be noon CDT today at Pearce Funeral Home, with Brother John Cutshall officiating. Burial will be at Marshall Cemetery.
