Addie Marie Davern, 76, of Terre Haute, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Union Hospital. She was born on Nov. 4, 1936, in Terre Haute, to James and Goldie (Rogers) Counterman. She was married to Robert Davern Sr., for 51 years before his passing in 2006. Addie worked as a housekeeping supervisor for Union Hospital for over 19 years. She loved to read and crochet. Most of all, Addie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Addie is survived by her daughter, Penny Wilson and her husband Steve of Terre Haute; two sons, Robert Davern Jr. of Terre Haute and Joe Davern and his wife Cindy of Corinth, Texas; a brother, James Counterman and wife Barbara of Terre Haute; sister-in-law, Delores Counterman of Tampa, Fla.; two grandsons, Jake Davern and wife Heather of Frisco, Texas, and Matthew Wilson of Terre Haute; a granddaughter, Amanda Thompson and husband Bryan of Denton, Texas; two great-grandchildren, Noah and Macy Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Thomas Counterman.
Visitation will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home, 7500 N. Clinton St., on Monday, June 17, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at 11 a.m., with visitation 1 hour prior at the funeral home. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
