TERRE HAUTE —
Ronald C. Blake, 62, of Terre Haute, formerly of Milford, Pa., and Warwick, N.Y., passed away April 25, 2013. Ron was born to Clayton and Alice Blake. Ron was an avid sportsman. He was a member of the Goodwill Hook and Ladder volunteer Fire Department, in Warwick. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Junior Rifle Club in Warwick. He worked at Jones Chemical in Warwick, for many years before relocating. He loved competition and drove Bommer division at White Lake Raceway in White Lake, N.Y., Mac-a-tek Speedway in Lakeville, Pa., and Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute. He was also a volunteer firefighter at Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Blake.
Ron is survived by his wife, Patricia; mother, Alice Blake-Coates and husband, Thomas of Warwick; two stepsons, Steven and Patrick Meany; two grandsons, Timothy and Tyler Meany; a granddaughter, Christina Meany; and one great-granddaughter; Mackenzie Meany, all of Terre Haute. He also is survived by two sisters, Helen Scheverman and husband George of Warwick, and Lori Sosa and husband John of Walton, N.Y.; a nephew, John Scheverman of Boulder, Colo.; and a niece, Kassandra Sosa of Walton.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Warwick. Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 N. 13th St., Terre Haute, was entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be made at:
