Terry Maurice Cook Jr., an amazing man and father, age 53, of Terre Haute, passed away Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in his residence. Terry was born Nov. 24, 1959, in Terre Haute, to Samuel Duzan and Judith Pearson. Terry was an honorably discharged member of the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
Terry enjoyed long drives in the country that led to nowhere, going swimming, and sitting around the fire with friends and family. Terry was an avid fan of the outdoors, especially gardening.
Terry was preceded in death by his father. He is survived by his mother, Judith Robinson; three daughters, Kristina Michaels, and Tina and Terresa Cook; three brothers, Tracy Cook and his wife Cindy, Larry Cook, and Charles Robinson; two grandchildren, Karl Anthony Michaels, and Savannah Michaels; and his childhood best friends, Jim Bousman, and Timothy Fiddler. Terry also is survived by many friends, family, and loved ones.
A memorial service to celebrate Terry’s life will be today, Sept. 6, 2013, at 1 p.m. at Greiner Funeral Home, 2005 North 13th Street, in Terre Haute, with Pastor Dennis “Butch” Leek officiating. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. until service time. Online condolences may be made at:
