Jeanette worked as a waitress and a cook and owned Some Place to Eat in Terre Haute, for many years. When she wasn’t in the kitchen cooking something delicious for family and friends, she could be found gardening, fishing, or watching NASCAR.  She was a member of Grace Temple Church. She loved her pastor and his wife, Pastor David and Cheryl Fleetwood.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Renetta Trissel and husband Ray, Darlene Morman and husband Mick, all of Terre Haute, Rodney Hayes and wife Michelle of Bargersville, Rona Bell, Chris Hogue and wife Amanda, Leslie Randall, and Ellen Pressley, all of Terre Haute; stepchildren, Teresa Hood and husband Ron of Reelsville, Kenny Don Hogue and wife Sunhui of Tuscola, Ill., and Yvonna Stevens and husband Kenny of Atwood, Ill.; 26 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Fairo Lloyd; her husband, Donald “Bud” Hogue; daughter, Kathy Lynn Hayes Babbs; grandson, Bradley Dee Bell II; and sister, Harriet Eaton.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to Hospice of the Wabash Valley; Danielle Compton, Kathy Ritter, Jodie Pomfret, Marcella Richmond, and chaplain Pastor Kyle Andrews; also, Linda Drummy and Theresa Bradley; and all the many other caregivers who helped over the past few years. We also wish to extend special thanks to longtime caregiver, Nina Long, for the unique kindness and special care she gave to Mother and the family.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Mattox-Wood Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, with Pastor Kyle Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Durham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeanette’s name to Hospice of the Wabash Valley. Online expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at:
